Forgeries
Fournier sold photolitho facsimiles of the 1895 50, 75, 80 and 100 Reis stamps, both with and without the surcharge "AÇORES".
The forgeries are both perf 11.5 and imperf.
The forgeries are less detailed than the originals and the 'A' of Portugal has no coloured space above the bar.
The set had a sentence in Latin printed on the back, which was reproduced in the facsimile. However the colors are not the same; the star on top has 8 arms in the Fournier forgery instead of 6.
The original word "nunc" near the right margin was wrongly rendered as "nune" in the forgery.
