Features of the genuine 1865 3d and others

Forgeries
Sold by Fournier but possibly originating with Torres?
This is the 4th forgery listed in "weeds"
The top of the "T" of "THREE" is disconnected and 
The central part of the "H" is more like a dot.
The flower is very different from the original
The overprints lack the end number
The text in the elipse touches the line unlike the original
The outer extra frame line has many breaks including a large fault bottom left






Spiro Forgeries

Very large pearls around crown
Flower very different from original
Misspelled "DOLLER" very large

Senf Forgeries


Typically these have the word "FALSCH" on them.
However some resellers will place a cancel over the smaller FALSCH to hide it.

Oneglia/Panelli Forgeries
Engraved and well executed




Frodel Forgeries
Andre Frodel was a forger who made many forgeries of Canada and provinces
Victor Perantoni and Andre Frodel



All show some damage in the right top and bottom
The E's in THREE branches are all the same sie but the bottom branch is longer in the genuine
The pearls and bottom of the crown are different than the original
The background is different
