Uruguay Numerals 1866-69

 THE STAMP ”1 CTS." LARGE NUMBER
These stamps were created for the postage of newspapers.
3 printings were prepared, 1 in London and 2 in Montevideo.
This tax lasted until  November 1868 when it was repealed. The stamp was removed from circulation in 1877

The wavy lines behind Centesimo are rough and blurred.

Watermarked paper found on all denominations perfed and imperf.
